FPI induces chronic alterations in cerebrovascular structure that are improved by CAP treatment. In (A-C), confocal micrographs of vessel painting in 5xFAD Sham + Veh (A), 5xFAD FPI + Veh (B), and 5xFAD FPI + CAP (C). Quantification showed that FPI significantly reduced junction density, vessel density, and average vessel length in the ipsilateral hemisphere (D-F). Vessel density and average vessel length were significantly increased in FPI + CAP mice (E, F). There were no significant changes identified in the contralateral hemisphere (G-I).
